Kennesaw State Owls vs the Keiser University Seahawks
KENNESAW, Ga. – The Kennesaw State Owls hosted the Keiser University Seahawks Wednesday night in the Convocation Center. The Owls kicked things off by honoring 6-8 senior forward, Demond Robinson for scoring his 1000th career point in the first game of the year vs. Oakwood University. The Owls also honored first-year head coach, Antonie Pettway, for his first career head coaching win which was also in the first game of the year vs Oakwood. First Half Notes: The Owls started things off a little slow letting the Seahawks jump out to an early 4-0 lead. The Owls struggled mightily from behind the three-point line early starting off the game 0-12 before senior 6-8 forward and UAB transfer Rongie Gordon knocked down a three at the 11:55 mark in the first half and provided the Owls a much-needed spark off the bench in the first half adding 8 points, and 10 rebounds (5 offensive, 5 defensive). Keiser sophomore guard, Nirobi Peeler Jr. lit a spark off the bench for the Seahawks start
